The Let's Dance Club revs up it's new dance season by taking you through a time warp to the early 1960's. The club celebrates it's season opener with a Route 66 theme, and Faded Youth busts out a great collection of 1960 era songs. Great songs by the Beatles, the Turtles, Beach Boys, Chuck Berry, the Monkees, etc. to dance to. Dance some Swing, Cha Cha, Line Dance, Twist, etc. Maybe a group dance doing the Twist? Who knows? Some dancers will be wearing Route 66 T shirts and bring Route 66 decorations to accent the time warp return to the 1960's. So maybe get on Amazon and find something with Route 66 on it to help to go back in time. Or just come as you are and enjoy the dancing and great tunes by Faded Youth, one of the dance club's favorite bands. The evening is going to be fun with music and decorations from the past. Capital Ritz is a great dance venue with a floating, wooden dance floor that is easy on the feet and with plenty of room. Let's Dance Club members are free while non-members are $15 per person. Attendees are asked to bring a dessert or snack for all to share. BYOB including alcoholic drinks.
