The Thomas Jefferson Division of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps will host a Fall Open House on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Ike Skelton Training Site, 2302 Militia Drive, Jefferson City. The event, part of the national “Spirit of ’76” Fall Recruiting Drive, invites students in grades 5–12 and their families to explore the Sea Cadet program, meet local cadets and adult leaders, and learn how to join. The U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps helps young people develop leadership, discipline, teamwork, confidence, and practical skills through hands-on training and service. Local cadets take part in leadership development, community service, color guard events, field training, and educational and maritime-related activities throughout the year. Students interested in adventure, leadership, service, and becoming part of a team are encouraged to attend with their families.
